Thank god for Jon and his company. I recently discovered some nasty mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. It was my first time ever trying to handle a situation like this on my own and I was pretty stressed because I had no idea how to proceed with the situation, good pricing, and etc. I called around to other places and got a few quotes. I wanted to try Servpro to get another quote as well. I talked to Jon first. I expressed my exasperation to Jon about how I was overwhelmed. Jon thankfully took some pity on me LOL and said he could just come to take a look without a report. Jon was prompt with his responses and agreed to come to check out the situation. Jon was always punctual and professional. Jon came out and immediately told me everything I needed to know, the work that needed to be done, and etc. For a while, we were unable to determine the leak that caused the mold and had a few plumbers come out and say it probably was an internal pipe. Jon realized something was inaccurate the previous plumbers told us and identified it was our upstairs toilet causing the issue. I knew at that point I trusted Jon only because he told us everything and explained everything to us, unlike other places. Jon’s work is impeccable and efficient. He made us comfortable and explained everything without ever being rude or condescending. It’s pretty easy for someone inexperienced like me to get taken advantage of by other companies who are looking to make a quick dime, but Jon was not like that. I’m so glad we ended up going with Wallace Home Inspection!

Jonathan actually did two inspections for me for two different properties, one more extensive than the other. The first was for a condo unit in a large building that was being rehabbed on the exterior. Most of that inspection was concentrated on the living unit itself.
Jonathan was very thorough and answered all my questions and was attentive to those areas that I worried about. He made solid, good recommendations and gave me a very keen perspective on the inner workings of this unit, not just the portions that were easy to access and readily apparent.
I decided not to purchase that unit, but it had nothing to do with the inspection, but, rather, other factors about the purchase.
The second, more intensive inspection was for a townhome I have under contract. Jonathan went above and beyond scrutinizing both the exterior and the interior, from stem to stern, one could say. He showcases the good points and transparently revealed all of the pieces that needed attention, either by me as the prospective buyer or by the HOA and its responsibilities.
He detailed extensively,;he took illustrative photos; he took his time and opened heavy windows that had recently been painted shut(?)!
He had many concrete and pertinent suggestions that I will heed as I move forward in this process.
A very genial and accommodating young man is Jonathan Wallace. He wants to protect his potential buyers from purchasing “money pits” and wants to ensure that safety is always a priority for them in their new homes.
